“First Educational Trip: Lessons, History & A Little Hunger”
My first educational visit from LPU to Jang-e-Azadi, Amritsar was honestly a mix of excitement and reality-check. I started the trip feeling super energetic, hoping for something thrilling. But to be real, the visit itself turned out a bit boring at times. What actually made the whole day worth it was the company of my new college friends—we laughed, talked, clicked pictures, and that saved the vibe.
We explored many religious and historical statues that were truly inspiring. The Punjabi movie on our ancestors’ sacrifices, including Bhagat Singh and many others, hit differently and reminded us why our history matters.
But one thing completely ruined our mood—hunger. Our university didn’t provide any refreshments, and there was nothing available to eat at the Jang-e-Azadi complex.
“Even with the hunger and small disappointments, this trip will always stay special because it was my first-ever college trip. I learned that every journey isn’t about the place—it’s about the people, the memories, and the lessons you carry back. Jang-e-Azadi reminded me of the courage and sacrifices that shape our present, and my friends reminded me how fun college life can truly be. I came back tired, hungry, but honestly more inspired and excited for all the amazing trips and experiences waiting ahead in my college journey.”
